O cenário musical está muito agitado neste fim de ano na Irlanda!U2 acaba de fazer shows eletrizantes em Dublin.
Enya lançou um CD depois de 7 anos ( clique aqui) e agora a banda The Corrs que fez enorme sucesso nos anos 90 está de volta depois de 10 anos sem gravar nenhum álbum.
The musical scene is very busy in Ireland by the end of this year.U2 has just made amazing shows in Dublin.
Enya released a CD after 7 years (click here) and now the band The Corrs which made loads of success back on the 90s is back after 10 years without recording any album.
A banda irlandesa formada por 4 irmãos Jim, Sharon, Caroline e Andrea lançou seu primeiro CD em 1995, Forgiven, Not Forgotten.The Irish band composed by the 4 siblings Jim, Sharon, Caroline and Andrea released their first CD back in 1995, Forgiven, Not Forgotten.
A voz celestial das meninas ( Jim normalmente só toca instrumentos) conquistou o mundo e as rádios rapidamente com sucessos como Runaway e The Right Time.The girls divine voice (Jim usually only plays instruments) conquered the world and the radio stations very quickly with hits like Runaway and The Right Time.Antes mesmo de lançarem o primeiro CD já tinham tocado na Copa do Mundo de Futebol de 1994. E dois anos depois se apresentaram para o Papa no Vaticano.Em 1997 veio o álbum Talk on Corners e a música I Never Loved Anyway entrou para os hits daquele ano. O estilo da banda é nitidamente POP mas frequentemente há toques de música tradicional irlandesa, o que cativou o mundo inteiro.
Even before recording their first CD they had already played on the 1994 Soccer (Football) World Cup. And 2 years later they performed for the Pope on the Vatican.In 1997 came the album Talk on Corners and the song I Never Loved Anyway made up the hits for that year. The band style is distinctly POP but there are often touches of Irish traditional music, which charmed the whole world.

The Corrs se transformava numa das bandas mais tocadas do mundo com o mega-sucesso Breathless (do álbum In Blue).In 1999 the Corrs siblings had to overcome the early death of their mother and on the following year would come the world success which conquered the difficult North American market. The Corrs turned into one of the most played bands in the world with the mega-success Breathless (from the album In Blue).
A banda tocou com inúmeros músicos como U2, Rolling Stones a até com o tenor Luciano Pavarotti. Venderam mais de 50 milhões de discos. Sempre estiveram envolvidos em inúmeras ações filantrópicas e são muito queridos na Irlanda. De 3 irlandeses pelo menos 1 tem algum disco do The Corrs.
The band played with several musicians like U2, Rolling Stones and even the tenor Luciano Pavarotti. They sold more than 50 million CDs.They were always involved in several philanthropic actions, and they are much cherished in Ireland. From every 3 Irish people, at least 1 has one of The Corrs CDs.
Em 2004 e 2005 lançaram os álbuns Borrowed Heaven e Home esta último com músicas típicas irlandesas tiradas de um velho caderno da mãe falecida.A partir de então a banda deu uma parada. Andrea e Caroline lançaram trabalhos solo.
E para alegria dos fãs em 2015 The Corrs está de volta com o novo trabalho White Light e com shows agendados para janeiro de 2016 em Dublin e Reino Unido.
In 2004 e 2005 they released the albums Borrowed Heaven and Home - this last one with typical Irish songs taken from an old notebook from their deceased mother.After that the band stopped. Andrea and Caroline released solo works.
For the joy of the fans, in 2015 The Corrs is back with their new work White Light and with shows scheduled for January 2016 in Dublin and the United Kingdom.

Fiquei super feliz com a volta deles, fez muito parte da minha adolescência! Eu tava na fila do pub Doyles onde eles fizeram uma surprise gig semana passada (eu não sabia que seriam eles que tocariam, só sabia que seria um nome "importante"), mas infelizmente o local é pequeno e como tinha muita gente, não conseguimos entrar....

ResponderExcluirEu adoro o The Corrs, escuto eles desde antes de pensar em vir para a Irlanda. Na verdade quando comecei a escutar eles nem sabia que era irlandeses, são muito bons!
