Vintage Tea Tours

Normalmente o mês de janeiro na Irlanda é bastante difícil com baixas temperaturas, chuvas e dias escuros. Até nevou um pouco.

E um dos passeios que fizemos neste mês de janeiro foi o Vintage Tea Tours. Na frente no Epic - The Emigration Museum que a gente já te mostrou em detalhes aqui, você sobe a um ônibus antigo e lá vai encontrar mesas onde já está preparado um delicioso Afternoon Tea.

And one of the tours we did this January was the Vintage Tea Tours. In front of the Epic - The Emigration Museum that we have already shown you in detail here, you go up to an old bus and there you will find tables where a delicious Afternoon Tea is already prepared.

A gente pegou a mesa frontal no andar de cima para ter a melhor visibilidade possível.

We took the front table upstairs to have the best possible visibility.

Na mesa há um pequeno guia chamado a Guide to Your Journey com belas ilustrações e muitas informações sobre importantes lugares em Dublin como a O'Connel Street, Trinity College, St. Stephen Green, St. Patrick's Cathedral, etc.

At the table there is a small guide called the Guide to Your Journey with beautiful illustrations and lots of information about important places in Dublin such as O'Connel Street, Trinity College, St. Stephen Green, St. Patrick's Cathedral, etc.

Nos pratos, pequenos sanduíches, scones deliciosos, geléia, creme, manteiga, tortinha de frutas, brownie e uma sobremesa de limão.

Antes de sair somos avisados que o tour dura 1 hora e meia e que não é permitido se levantar durante esse período. Logo depois começa o passeio. Em alguns pontos por onde passa o ônibus, o staff fala sobre curiosidades sobre a história de Dublin.

Before leaving we are advised that the tour lasts 1 hour and a half and that it is not allowed to stand up during this period. Soon after, the tour begins. At some points where the bus passes, the staff talks about curious things on Dublin's history.

As bebidas podem ser café, cappuccino, chocolate quente, café descafeinado, chá, etc. E são servidos em copos com tampa com as mesmas ilustrações do guia informativo. O copo é um presente e você pode levá-lo para casa!

Drinks can be coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate, decaf coffee, tea, etc. And they are served in cups with lid bringing the same illustrations of the informative guide. The glass is a gift and you can take it home!

A música de fundo é de muito bom gosto, com canções da década de 40 e 50. A medida que você vai passando por aquelas ruas que tanto conhece, vai vendo a cidade sob um outro ângulo, com calma, curtindo um delicioso scone e conversando sobre as suas experiências vividas por ali "lembra quando conhecemos tal loja pela primeira vez e compramos tal coisa"...e coisas do tipo.

The background music is of very good taste, with songs from the 40s and 50s. As you go through those streets you know so much, you see the city from another angle, calmly, enjoying a delicious scone and talking about your experiences there "remember when we first visited such store and bought such a thing" ... and things like that.

Quando fizemos o tour saiu um pouco o sol, o que acabou deixando tudo muito mais agradável e luminoso. O ônibus vai até o Phoenix Park e depois retorna ao mesmo ponto de partida.

When we did the tour the sun appeared a little, which made everything brighter and more pleasant. The bus goes up to Phoenix Park, and then it returns to the same starting point.
