Powerscourt House and Gardens

Powerscourt House and Gardens é um dos jardins mais visitados da Irlanda e que fica no condado de Wicklow a poucos quilômetros de Dublin.

Powerscourt House and Gardens is one of the most visited gardens in Ireland, it's on county Wicklow, a few quilometres from Dublin.

A entrada é pela antiga casa que foi reaberta em 1996 depois de um grande incêndio que ocorreu em 1976, dentro você vai achar diversas lojas, uma cafeteria da Avoca e um Museu Infantil, o Tara's Palace.

The entrance is by the old house that was reopened in 1996 after a big fire that took place in 1976. Inside you will find several stores, An Avoca coffee shop and and child museum, the Tara's Palace.

Assim que você passa pela bilheteria um pequeno mapa é fornecido para que você possa visitar cada canto deste imenso jardim cheio de atrações. Ao fundo podemos contemplar o Sugar Loaf Mountain. 

As you pass the ticket counter a small map is given to you so you can visit each corner of this huge garden full of attractions. On the backgroung you can admire the Sugar Loaf Mountain. 

A primeira parte que temos acesso é o Jardim Italiano. Primorosamente cuidado e cheio de belas esculturas.

The first part we have access is the Italian Garden. It is well taken care on the detail and full of lovely sculptures.

Este é a Tower Valley. É possível subir até o topo e ver por cima os inúmeros tipos de árvores e plantas do local.

This is the Tower Valley. It is possible to climb to the top and see from above the several types of locals trees and plants.

O Japanese Garden é inspirado num recanto asiático e foi criado em 1908.

The Japanese Garden is inspired on an Asian place and was created in 1908.

O groto é umas das partes mais antigas de Powerscourt.

The grotto is one of the oldest parts in Powerscourt.

O Pet Cemetery é um dos lugares mais curiosos, é o maior cemitério de mascotas da Irlanda.

The Pet Cemetery is one of the most unusual places, it is the biggest pet cemetery in Ireland.

Se quiser conhecer todo o parque prepare-se uma uma boa caminhada pois há bastante coisa para ver como o Dolphin Pond, Triton Lake, o walled gardens! E o melhor nestes casos é conhecer tudo com calma. Aproveitando cada detalhe.

O Powerscourt House and Garden fica dentro de uma propriedade chamada Powerscourt Estate e nela estão um famoso campo de golf, o Hotel Ritz-Carlton e a Powerscourt Waterfall, a cachoeira mais alta da Irlanda e que a gente já te mostrou em detalhes aqui. 

The Powerscourt House and Garden is inside an area  called Powerscourt Estate and on it are a famous golf course, the Hotel Ritz-Carlton and the Powerscourt Waterfall, highest waterfall in Ireland, which we have already shown you in details here.
