Two New Cappuccinos

É incrível a grande variedade de cafeterias que existem em Dublin. It's amazing the wide variety of cafes available Dublin. We've already talked about some of them here and here. And we're always showing some on our social networks - click here to follow our Facebook and here to follow our Instagram. And today we will talk about another two that are worth visiting.

Beanhive é uma pequena cafeteria que fica no centro de Dublin (D2) que serve diversos tipos de sanduiches, café-da-manhã irlandês, scones, muffins, etc. Mas um detalhe deixa a Beanhive especial: O desenho que os baristas fazem nos cappuccinos.

Beanhive is a small cafe in Dublin's city centre (D2) serving various types of sandwiches, Irish breakfast, scones, muffins, etc. But one detail makes Beanhive special: The baristas' drawing on cappuccinos.

A gente já foi algumas vezes e o tema foi sempre o interior da Irlanda. Uma vez foi feito uma Tower House, outra uma casa entre as montanhas e outra uma fazenda com vacas.

We have been a few times and the theme has always been the Ireland's countryside. Once a Tower House was made, another a house between the mountains and another a farm with cows.

Mas já vi em outros cappuccinos diversos tipos de desenhos e até algumas caricaturas. O sorriso dos clientes quando a xícara chega à mesa é inevitável. O sabor é de um cappuccino normal (levemente adoçado) e o tem o preço de um café normal. Os baristas são super rápidos ao fazer os desenhos.

But I've seen in other cappuccinos different types of drawings and even some caricatures. The smile on customers faces when the cups hit the table is inevitable. The taste is of a normal cappuccino (lightly sweetened) and has the price of a normal coffee. The baristas are super fast when making the drawings.

Já pedimos diversos sanduíches e paninis e são saborosos. O único problema é que o lugar é tão pequeno que às vezes é difícil conseguir mesa.

We have already ordered several sandwiches and paninis and they are tasty. The only problem is that the place is so small that sometimes it is difficult to get a table.

O Cafe Zest é um tea room que fica no terceiro andar da Loja House of Fraser no Shopping Dundrum que tem um terraço com uma bela vista para o South Dublin. E neste agradável lugar você pode tomar um cappuccino com a sua cara. No ano passado começou a se popularizar por algumas grandes capitais pelo mundo este divertido tipo de bebida que foi chamada de selfieccino! Uma brincadeira com as palavras selfie e cappuccino.

Cafe Zest is a tea room which is located on the third floor of the House of Fraser store at the Dundrum Shopping Centre, which has a terrace with beautiful views of South Dublin. And in this nice place you can have a cappuccino with your face. Last year it began to popularize in some big capitals around the world this fun type of drink that was called selfieccino! This is a joke with the words selfie and cappuccino.

Funciona da seguinte maneira. Você manda a foto do seu rosto para os baristas e em poucos minutos chega à sua mesa um cappuccino com o seu rosto! É uma divertida experiência!

It works as follows. You send the picture of your face to the baristas and in a few minutes a cappuccino with your face arrives at your table! It's a fun experience!

A bebida é preparada da maneira tradicional e sobre a espuma uma impressora especial imprime o seu rosto. O sabor do café é exatamente igual a um cappuccino normal e o preço é de €6. E já que estávamos lá resolvemos pedir o Afternoon Tea (€15).


The drink is prepared in the traditional way and on the foam a special printer prints your face. The taste of the coffee is exactly like a normal cappuccino and the price is €6. And since we were there we decided to order the Afternoon Tea (€15).

Ele é muito bom e vem 3 tipos diferentes de sanduíches e 3 doces: cheese cake, red velvet e scone com creme, manteiga e geleia. Para beber, chá ou café. É muito gostoso e um Afternoon Tea dá perfeitamente para compartilhar entre duas pessoas.

It is very good and comes with 3 different types of sandwiches and 3 pastries: cheese cake, red velvet and scone with cream, butter and jelly. For drinking, tea or coffee. It is very yummy and an Afternoon Tea gives is big enough to share between two people.
