In Dublin's city center you will find one of the best pubs of the Victorian era.

Ao entrar é fácil se deslumbrar com uma decoração toda em madeira de mogno esculpido e uma grande cabeça de cervo no bar. As janelas são vitrais também com cervos em sua decoração. Não há muitas mesas mas se você falar com o staff provavelmente vai te arranjar algum lugar.

Upon entering it is easy to be dazzled with an entire decoration in carved mahogany wood and a large deer head in the bar. The windows are stained also with deers in their decoration. There are not many tables but if you talk to the staff they'll probably get you some place.

Há um salão que fica atrás do bar, que inicialmente era usado pelos fumantes da era vitoriana. Este foi o primeiro pub em Dublin que teve luz elétrica. Além de ser um excelente lugar para tomar uma boa Guinness, há também excelentes opções de pratos. Desde um sanduíches até fish and Chips.

There is a lounge behind the bar, which was initially used by Victorian-era smokers. This was the first pub in Dublin that had electric light. Besides being a great place to have a good Guinness, there are also great choices of dishes. From a sandwich to fish and chips.

A gente pediu o Pulled Pork Sandwich (carne de porco cozinhada lentamente por 12 horas) com maionese defumada de chipotle servida com batatas e salada da casa. Só peça este sanduíche se estiver com muita fome. O outro prato que pedimos foi o Beef And Guinness Casserole, um delicioso ensopado com carne, vegetais, purê de batatas e pão de alho para acompanhar. Ambos realmente excelentes!

We ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich (pork cooked slowly for 12 hours) with smoked chipotle mayonnaise served with potatoes and house salad. Just order this sandwich if you are very hungry. The other dish we ordered was the Beef And Guinness Casserole, a delicious stew with beef, vegetables, mashed potatoes and garlic bread to follow. Both were really excellent!
