FOTA

Antes de falarmos do FOTA, um pouco sobre o tempo no mês de novembro. A chuva diminuiu bastante mas o sol continua bem escasso. Fez no máximo um dia de sol por semana. As temperaturas caíram consideravelmente. Então agora para sair são necessários gorro, luva, cachecol e, claro, um bom casaco. Mas todos os lugares estão sempre calefacionados. Então o melhor é a roupagem "cebola". Com várias camadas de roupa. Sempre tenha uma blusa fininha. Pois, às vezes, o calor é intenso em restaurantes, lojas, etc.

Before we talk about FOTA, a little about the weather in November. The rain decreased a little, but the sun is still rare. We had at most one sunny day each week. Temperatures dropped considerably. So to go out now you will need a hat, gloves, scarf, and of course, a good coat or jacket. But all places are always heated. So the best option is the "onion style" clothing, with many layers. Always try to have a light jumper, because sometimes the heat is intense in restaurants, stores, etc.

O FOTA, é um zoológico que fica bem perto da cidade de Cork, de trem se chega em menos de 15 minutos.
É um gostoso passeio com belos parques e claro, diversos animais. O legal é que alguns estão soltos. Então você tem contato total com os bichinhos.
Claro que sempre é bom ter um pouco de cuidado, afinal são bichos. Fora isso é só curtir.
Tem mesas para fazer pic nic com a família ou se preferir 2 lanchonetes com sanduíches, sorvetes, cafés e refrigerantes.
Às 15:00 horas dá para assistir as chitas (o felino) sendo alimentadas.
Não é um zoológico imenso mas é muito bonito, cuidado e que vale muito a visita. O trem tem uma parada na entrada, então é muito fácil e rápido passar algum domingo por lá!!

There are picnic tables to enjoy food with the family, or if you prefer, 2 snack bars with sandwiches, ice creams and sodas. At 3PM you can watch the cheetahs (wild cat) being fed.

It is not a huge zoo, but is is very beautiful, well taken care of, and it is definitely worth a visit. The train has a special stop at the entrance, so it is very easy and fast to spend a Sunday there!!!
