Guinness Pie
Guinness is not only a beer in Ireland. It is part of the life of every Irish, and is related with the people's identity. The dark beverage is also used in the culinary. For instance the Irish Stew, which is the typical stew and which takes Guinness on the composition.
Another typical dish taking the beer is the Guinness Pie or Irish Stout Pie. Stout is the type of beer like Guinness. It is actually almost identical to a steak pie, but of course, the stuffing takes some beer. The dough is usually crispy and it dismantles very easily. So when you bring your pie from the supermarket, be careful so it doesn't fall apart.
The stuffing is always wet, and the meat is cut into thin pieces. It is part of the day by day of every Irish like the "empadão" pie in Brazil.
Of course there are a few variations, there are people who like to put mushrooms or cheese like on this delicious recipe from the Chef Jamie Oliver. Click on this video here to see the dough consistency, stuffing, and to make your mouth water!
