Com a chegada do verão a Irlanda e a Europa inteira se transforma!!! 
A lei é aproveitar os dias quentes e o sol. Há muitos eventos e festivais por todo o país como comentamos no último post. Outra coisa muito apreciada pelos irlandeses é fazer picnics em parques. E uma bebida muito comum nesses  picnics são as limonadas! 

Como a Pink Lemonade.

As summer arrives, Ireland and the whole Europe is changed!!!
The law is to take advantage of the warm days and the sun. There are many events and festivals around the country, as we commented on our last post. Another thing very much appreciated by the Irish is having picnics in parks.
And a very common drink on these picnics are the lemonades! Such as the Pink Lemonade.

Elas podem ser compradas em todos os mercados. A cor rosada é devido à adição de frutas vermelhas como cranberry e cerejas.

Também existe a Red Lemonade, que é muito usada em drinks variados, aparentemente este tipo de limonada só é tomada aqui na Irlanda. Nos mercados podemos encontrar a limonada da marca TK.

They can be bought in all markets. The rose colour is due to the addition of red fruits like cranberries and cherries.
There is also the Red Lemonade, which is used a lot on several drinks, it seems this kind of lemonade is only taken here in Ireland. In the markets we can find a lemonade branded TK.

Outro tipo é a Cloudy Lemonade, que tem o mesmo gosto de uma limonada normal mas tem esse aspecto opaco que vemos na foto.

Another kind is the Cloudy Lemonade, which has the same flavor of a regular lemonade, but with this opaque aspect we can see on the photo.

Lendo livros de culinária irlandesa encontrei uma receita bem curiosa da bebida:

Reading books on Irish culinary, we found a very curious recipe for this drink:

 Receita de Limonada Irlandesa / Irish Lemonade Recipe

Com um descascador tire a casca de 4 limões (sicilianos). Coloque em um bowl essas cascas. Acrescente 900 ml de água fervente, meia xícara de açúcar e mexa bem. Cubra e reserve até esfriar. Acrescente o suco dos limões e leve à geladeira até ficar bem frio. Coloque numa jarra e sirva com bastante gelo.
Para deixar a receita mais saudável substitui o açúcar branco por açúcar mascavo. A cor da limonada obviamente fica mais escura. Ficou uma Brown Lemonade (a cor ficou igual a de um chá). O sabor ficou delicioso e super refrescante. E bem melhor que as versões industrializadas.

With a peeler remove the skin of 4 lemons (Sicilian). Put these skins in a bowl. Add 900 ml of boiling water, half cup of sugar and stir well. Cover and reserve until it cools down. Add the lemon juice and take to the refrigerator until it gets very cold. Put in a pitcher and serve with a lot of ice.
To make the recipe healthier, replace the white sugar for brown sugar. The color of the lemonade obviously gets darker. It becomes a Brown lemonade (the color gets very close to a tea). The flavor is delicious and super refreshing. And much better than our industrialized versions.

E claro que aqui na Irlanda há sempre uma versão com álcool.

Faça a limonada descrita acima e coloque uma dose de whiskey Jameson.

And of course here in Ireland  there is always a version with alcohol. Make the lemonade described above, and pour a shot of Jameson whiskey.
