A Journey into Ireland's History

Há alguns dias coloquei a foto  da capa do livro Historopedia no Instagram (todo dia a gente posta uma foto nova por lá, para nos seguir é só clicar aqui) e algumas pessoas se mostraram interessadas, então achei interessante falar um pouco sobre ele aqui no blog.
Os autores Fatty e John Burke tiveram a ideia de mostrar e contar através de ilustrações grandes fatos sobre a rica história da Irlanda e o resultado é um livro encantador que te convida a lê-lo e relê-lo sempre pois há um pouco de tudo por lá e contado de forma concisa. 

A few days ago I uploaded a picture of Historopedia's book cover on Instagram (everyday we post there a new picture, to follow us, just click here) and some people showed interest, so I thought it could be interesting to write a little about it in the blog.
Authors Fatty and John Burke had the idea of showing and telling, through illustrations about big facts on the rich history of Ireland, and the result is a charming book that invites you to read it, and always read it again because there a little of everything there, written in a very consie way.

Historopedia começa com um convite "prepare-se para fazer uma jornada através do tempo descobrindo a história da  Irlanda por todas as eras". Antes de entrarmos na Irlanda especificamente, fatos importantes que aconteceram no último século.

Historopedia starts with an invitation "get set to make a journey through time discovering Ireland's history from all ages". Before getting into Ireland specifically, important facts that happened last century.

Lugares importantes como Newgrange, que foi construído há mais de 5 mil anos e são mais antigas que as Piramides do Egito.


Important places like Newgrange, which was built more than 5 thousand years ago and are older that Egypt's pyramids.

Os reis na Irlanda tiveram um papel muito importante entre os séculos 4 e 12.
