Verão 2014! Summer 2014!

Em junho começa o verão e não sabemos ao certo o que esperar pois o mês de maio foi bastante decepcionante em termos climáticos.
Em abril a gente se animou! Tivemos dias lindos de primavera, compramos móveis para o jardim e até plantamos alface aqui em casa!
Mas esse tempo ameno não durou. E maio foi quase todo cinzento e com temperaturas bastante baixas. Às vezes, 6 graus ao meio dia!! 

 In June Summer starts, and we don't know for sure what to expect because the month of May was very disappointing regarding weather.
In April we got excited! We had beautiful spring days, we bought outdoor furniture for the garden and we even planted lettuce here at home!
But this fair weather didn't last. And May was almost all gray and with very low temperatures. Sometimes 6 Celsius at 12 noon!!

No fim de maio as temperaturas começaram a subir um pouco. Mas vamos ver como será o verão 2014. Mas o que não dá para reclamar é sobre as horas de claridade. Está amanhecendo por volta das 5 da manhã e anoitecendo às 21:30. Então os dias são looongos.


At the end of May the temperatures started to raise a little. But let's see how the 2014 summer will be. But we can't complain about the hours of light. The sun is rising around 5AM, and setting at 9:30PM. So the days are very long.

No inverno, às 18:00 a gente já está jantou e não vai fazer muita coisa. Agora não. A gente fica mais ativo até a meia-noite pelo menos!! Claro que isso vem trazendo um certo cansaço no dia seguinte, mas mesmo assim estes dias de luminosidade até tarde são maravilhosos.

In the winter, at 6PM we already had dinner and we are done for the day. But not now. We get more active until midnight at least!! Of course this is making us more tired on the following day, but even so, these days with brightness until late are wonderful.

Maio foi muito especial para o Welcome to Ireland pois passamos a ter domínio próprio e o blog passou a ser bilíngue.Como vocês devem já ter notado todos os posts agora são em português e inglês. Com o tempo vamos traduzindo todos os posts que já fizemos.

May was very special for Welcome to Ireland, because we started having our own domain and the blog started being bilingual. As you may have noticed all posts now are in Portuguese and English. As time goes by, we will be translating all the posts we have made until today.
