A Irlanda adora acompanhar esportes!
Basta constatar isso vendo que quase todas as TV´s  dos pubs estão sempre ligadas em algum jogo. As modalidades que tem mais torcedores são os esportes gaélicos e o Rugby. 

Ireland loves to follow sports!
You can notice this when you see almost all TV sets on the pubs are always turned on in some sort of match. The kinds with more fans are the Gaelic sports, and the Rugby.

Agora em fevereiro está ocorrendo um dos maiores eventos esportivos que eletrizam os irlandeses, o  6 Nations, um campeonato que reúne as 6 maiores potências européias em Rugby. 

Now in February it is taking place one of the biggest sport events which drive the Irish mad, the 6 Nations, a championship that gathers the 6 biggest European powers in Rugby.

Além da Irlanda estão Escócia, França , Inglaterra, Itália e País de Gales. Até 2000 o campeonato era conhecido como 5 Nations. A Itália foi o último país a entrar.
É muito entusiasmante acompanhar a torcida dos irlandeses. Normalmente são muito calmos e tranquilos mas na hora do jogo vibram muito.

Besides Ireland it also brings Scotland, France, England, Italy and Wales. Until 2000 the championship was know as 5 Nations. Italy was the last country to join. It is very exciting to follow the cheering of the Irish.
Usually they are very calm and peaceful, but at the time of the game they get very excited.

E no ano passado a grande campeã do 6 Nations foi justamente a Irlanda! Venceu a França com um suado e comemorado placar de 22 a 20. Foi realmente uma festa.

And last year Ireland itself was the great champion of the 6 Nations! It beat France in a tight and commemorated scoreboard of 22 to 20. It was indeed a great party.

Este ano a Irlanda tenta manter o título e na primeira rodada foi muito bem vencendo a Itália (em Roma). E o placar foi uma surra: 26 para a Irlanda, 3 para a Itália.

This year Ireland tries to keep the title and on the first round it did very well and beat Italy (in Rome). And the score was devastating: Ireland 26 x 3 Italy.
But Ireland has a long way to go now!
