Blog Bilíngue / Bilingual Blog
Em outros posts mostramos as belas praias de Barley Cove (aqui) e Inchydoney (aqui). Hoje vamos ao sudeste do condado de Wexford para a praia de Duncannon.
Welcome to Ireland continues in summer mode! In other posts we mentioned the beautiful beaches of Barley Cove (here) and Inchydoney (here). Today we go to the southeast of Condado Wexford towards Duncannon beach.
Duncannon Beach fica há 48 Km da capital, Wexford, 165 Km de Cork City e 175 Km de Dublin.
The village bearing the same name lives out of fishing and tourism, once the beach is very busy during summer period for day trips, or for the season, with the rental of house that are facing the sea.Duncannon Beach is 48 Km from the capital, Wexford, 165 Km from Cork City and 175 Km from Dublin.
It is a good option for those who are looking for beaches with good sand strands. There is a parking space very close to the beach.
And don't miss Duncannon Fort, built in 1588 which is next to the beach.A gente não conseguiu visitar o forte pois tinha acabado de fechar. Mas numa próxima oportunidade, com certeza, conheceremos o Duncannon Fort.
The fort is star shaped, similar to Charles Fort in Kinsale, click here.We were not able to visit the fort because it has just closed. But in another opportunity we will for sure visit Duncannon Fort.
