Butlers Chocolate Experience

Algum tempo atras a gente fez um post te contando um pouco sobre a marca de chocolates irlandesa chamada Butlers, clique aqui e acompanhe. Lá contávamos que era possível conhecer a fábrica por dentro fazendo o que eles chamam de Butlers Chocolate Experience. Nós fizemos essa experiência e vamos te contar tudo aqui!

Some time ago we made a post telling you a little about the Irish chocolate brand called Butlers, click here and check it out. We mentioned it was possible to visit the factory internally doing what they call Butlers Chocolate Experience. We did this experience, and will tell you everything here!

A fábrica ficar numa zona industrial afastada de Dublin, perto do aeroporto e para saber os dias e horários das visitas é só dar uma olhada na página da marca aqui.

The factory is in and industrial district a bit far from Dublin city, near the airport, and to know the days and times to visit just have a look at the brand home page at this address,

Assim que chegamos já pedimos um moccha para esperar o horário da visita começar.

As we arrived we already ordered a Moccha to wait for the tour to start.

Jalecos e gorros são distribuídos entre os participantes.

Coats and hats are distributed to all the participants.

Tudo começa com a exibição de um vídeo contando um pouco a história da Butlers e do chocolate no mundo. E somos avisados que comeremos diversos tipos de chocolates durante toda a visita que dura em média 1 hora e meia. Já ali mesmo são distribuídas pastilhas de chocolate ao leite, meio amargo e branco.

It all starts with the exhibition of a video telling a little on the history of Butlers and chocolate in the world. And we were told we would eat different types of chocolate during the visit that lasts around 1.5 hour. At the spot they alredy shared chips of milk chocolate, bitter sweet and white.

Logo depois vamos ao pequeno museu. Onde podemos ver com mais detalhes toda a história da Butlers e de como o chocolate se tornou essa delicia amada por quase todos.

E claro, nada de ficar no museu sem adoçar a boca. Deliciosos bombons recheados passam a cada dois minutos.

Soon after we go to the little museum, where we can see with more details all the history of Butlers and how chocolate became this delight loved by almost everyone.

And of course, you just can't stay in the museum without making your mouth sweeter. Delicious filled chocolates come by every two minutes.

Tudo começou no México, onde o cacau era uma bebida muita amarga.

It all started in Mexico, where the cocoa was a very bitter drink.

O primeiro nome da Butlers era Chez Nous e sua fundadora Marion Butler.

The first name o Butlers was Chez Nous and the founder was Marion Butler.

Neste corredor há uma interessante e completa timeline explicando a evolução de chocolate através do tempo. E claro que ler tanta informação não tem graça se não for com deliciosos fudges.

On this corridor there is an interesting and complete timeline explaining the evolution of chocolate through time. And of course reading so much information is not fun if you don't get some delicious fudges.

A seguir conhecemos a fábrica por dentro e todo o processo de elaboração dos chocolates, até o empacotamento. Mesmo sendo início de janeiro os ovos de Páscoa estavam sendo fabricados a todos vapor. A marca exporta seus produtos para inúmeros países mas esta é a única fábrica da Butlers, então sempre que consumir um chocolate da marca, vai estar degustando um delicioso produto autenticamente irlandês. Na fábrica não é permitido tirar fotos.

Then we saw the factory inside and all the process on the making of chocolates -up until the packaging. Even being the start of January, the Easter eggs were already being manufactured full speed. The brand exports their products to several countries, but this is the only Butlers factory, so whenever you have a chocolate of this brand, you will be tasting a delicious and authentic Irish product. It is not permittet to take pictures in the factory.

E finalmente vamos até uma sala onde poderemos utilizar a nossa criatividade e pintar com chocolate branco um Papai Noel.

Uma atividade "árdua" dessas requer muita energia. Um chocolate quente e alguns bombons de laranja não são uma má ideia.

And we finally go to a room where we can use all our creativity and paint a Santa Claus with white chocolate. A "hard" activity like this deserves loads of energy. A hot chocolate drink and some orange chocolates are not a bad idea.

Assim que terminamos, empacotamos as nossas obras em papel de presente, ganhamos um certificado de participação e claro, uma barrinha de chocolate para terminar esta deliciosa visita que encanta tanto adultos como crianças.

As we finished, we packed our works in gift wrap, we got a certificate of participation, and of course, another chocolate bar to finish this delicious visit which charms both adults and children.

A Butlers faz parte da nossa vida aqui na Irlanda, esta caixa é um dos produtos que são vendidos pela marca e tínhamos ela em casa quando fizemos a visita (veja que até faltam alguns deles....quem consegue resistir?) tudo muito bem embrulhado com linda fita vermelha e um delicado papel de seda para proteger os bombons.

Butlers is part of our life here in Ireland, this box is one of the products that are sold by the brand and we had it ho,e when we made the visit (check some are missing already... who can resist?), all very well packed with a lovely red ribbon and a delicate silk paper to protect the chocolates.
