Ao longo de vários posts a gente vem mostrando detalhadamente as atrações do Blarney Castle and Gardens, que é uma das atrações mais conhecidas de Cork e da Irlanda mas que é visitada muito rapidamente. Os visitantes nem se dão conta que podem desfrutar muito mais deste lindo local turístico.

 Through several posts we have been showing in details the attractions of Blarney Castle and Gardens, which is one of the most known attractions in Cork and Ireland, but which is quickly visited. Visitors are not aware they can enjoy a lot more on this beautiful tourist spot.

Here we talked about the very interesting Poison Garden.On another post we showed in details the Druid Garden.
And here we commented about the Castle and the Blarney Stone, which according to tradition, once kissed gives the gift of eloquence.
But there is still a lot more to be seen in Blarney.


FERN GARDEN

O Jardim das Samambaias fica no coração de Blarney, há  mais 80 variedades. Algumas inclusive foram plantadas por Yves Rocher o dono da famosa marca de cosméticos de mesmo nome. Lá tem a samambaia mais alta da Irlanda com mais de 5 metros.

 The Fern Garden is in the heart of Blarney, there are 80 varieties. Some of them were even planted by Yves Rocher, the owned of the famous cosmetics brand of same name. There you have the highest fern in Ireland with more than 5 meters (204 inches).

ICE HOUSE

A Casa de Gelo está perto do Fern Garden, foi recentemente descoberta. Estava abaixo de uma densa camada de espinhos e plantas venenosas. É uma estrutura de pedra circular com grossas paredes. Provavelmente foi usada na era vitoriana como uma "geladeira" primitiva.

The Ice House is close to the Fern Garden, it was recently discovered. It was under a dense layer of spines and poisonous plants. It is a structure of circular rock and thick walls. It was probably used in the Victorian age as a primitive "refrigerator".




LAKE

Se você fizer uma caminhada de uns 15 minutos vai chegar até o lago que vemos abaixo.

If you take a 15 minute walk you will arrive in the lake we can see below.
 

COACH HOUSE CAFE

Onde eram os estábulos hoje é a cafeteria e restaurante que ainda mantém um pouco da decoração. Lá é uma boa parada para comer um bom Irish Stew (guisado típico irlandês) e uma bebida quente.


Where previously were the stables, now it is a coffee shop and a restaurant, which still keep a little of the decoration. It is a good stop there for a good Irish Stew and a hot drink.

BLARNEY HOUSE

Se você for no verão, além do castelo vai poder visitar a Blarney House!


If you go in the Summer, besides the Castle you will be able to visit Blarney House!
