Na semana passada ocorreu em toda a Irlanda o Culture Night, evento onde há centenas de apresentações artísticas gratuitas.

Last week took place in Ireland the Culture Night, an event where there are hundreds of free artistic performances.

As atrações são tantas que o melhor a fazer é se programar muito bem  e escolher o que mais prefere.
Nós fizemos até uma pequena lista para a gente se organizar melhor.

There are so many attractions it is better to make a good schedule and choose what you prefer the most.
We even made a small list so we could be better organized.

Começamos no Fitzgerald Park, com o Music For Wood & Strings, que consistia numa experiência musical muito interessante. Você baixava um aplicativo no seu smartphone e uma música tocava de acordo com o trajeto que você escolhesse no parque - usando o GPS. 


We started on Fitzgerald Park, with Music For Wood & Strings, which was a very interesting musical experience. You downloaded an app on your smartphone and some music would play according to the route you would choose on the park - using the GPS.

Nas ruas também se podiam encontrar eventos culturais. Este grupo cantava música africana na frente de uma igreja.

On the streets you could also find some cultural events. This group was singing African music in front of a church.

E claro que os Pubs não ficaram de fora. Muitos tinham programação especial para o Culture Night. Neste ocorreria um Concert Rap!

And of course the Pubs were not left out. Many had a special program for the Culture Night. This one was bringing a Concept Rap!

E lugares inusitados foram utilizados também, como a estação rodoviária de Cork. Esta banda era fantástica!!

And unusual places were also used, like Cork Bus Station. This band was amazing!

Igrejas também participaram desta animada noite. Sempre passamos na frente deste linda igreja de 150 anos, a Trinity Presbyterian Church. E agora tivemos a oportunidade de conhecê-la por dentro, com direito a uma xícara de chá ou café e lanches.

Churches also participated on this lively night. We always walk in front of this beautiful 150 years old church, the Trinity Presbyterian Church. And now we had the opportunity to visit it internally, we were even offered cups of tea of coffee and snacks.

Cork Ignite foi um show fantástico que encantou centenas de espectadores. Um prédio do centro de Cork foi utilizado para exibir  imagens em 3D. Sempre acompanhado com música. Veja que lindo ficava com o reflexo no Rio Lee.

Cork Ignite was a fantastic show which delighted hundreds of spectators. A building on Cork city centre was used to project 3D images. Always followed up by music. Check it out how lovely it was with the reflection of River Lee.

Terminamos a nossa noite na prefeitura da cidade com o Concerto A Journey from Mountain to Sea, onde foi tocado um repertório belíssimo, como a composição  Fantasia on Theme, de Thomas Tallis.

We finished the evening on the City Hall with the Concert A Journey from Mountain to Sea, where a beautiful repertory was played, such as the composition Fantasia on Theme, by Thomas Tallis.

O Culture Night é um evento maravilhoso! O único ponto negativo é que ocorre apenas uma vez ao ano.

Culture Night is an amazing event! The only downside is that it happens only once a year.
