Chocolate com Batata - Chocolate and Potato

Na Páscoa é grande a variedade ovos e chocolates aqui na Irlanda assim como na maioria dos países. Multinacionais como Cadbury e Nestlé são as que dominam o mercado. Aqui já mostramos alguns deles. 
Mas a Irlanda também tem marcas nacionais de excelente chocolate como a internacionalmente conhecida Butlers, já falamos dela aqui.
Este ano resolvi provar outra marca, a Lir Chocolate, que é do condado de Meath.

There is a great variety of eggs and chocolate on Easter here in Ireland, as most countries. Multinational companies such as Cadbury and Nestlé are the ones ruling the market. Here we have already shown some of them. 
But Ireland also has traditional brands of excellent chocolate like the internationally known Butlers, we have already talked about it here. This year I decided to try another brand, the Lir Chocolate, which is from county Meath.

O nome vem de uma antiga lenda irlandesa. Lir era um poderoso rei e que perdeu a sua esposa, mãe de seus 4 filhos. Lir casou com a irmã de sua esposa, Aoife, pensando que seria uma amável mãe para seus filhos. Mas ela possuía um profundo ciúmes do amor que Lir tinha pelos seus filhos, então através de algumas feitiçarias transformou-os em 4 cisnes brancos.
Lir chocolates surgiu em 1987 e utiliza matéria-prima de alta qualidade para fazer os seus produtos.
Mas como estamos na Irlanda, que tal colocarmos um pouco de batatinhas sabor queijo e cebola no ovo da Páscoa?

The name comes from an old Irish legend. Lir was a powerful king who lost his wife, mother of his 4 children. Lir married with his wife's sister, Aoife, thinking she would be a lovely mother for his children. But she was deeply jealous by the love Lir felt by his children, so through some witchcraft she transformed them into 4 white swans.
Lir chocolates started in 1987 and uses high quality raw material to make their products.
But once we are in Ireland, how about having some cheese and onion crisps on the Easter Egg?

Como sabemos irlandeses são loucos por batata!!! De todos os tipos!!! Mas até agora nunca tinha comido batata com algo doce. E ao ver este ovo pensei que seria o momento. Mas tinha baixas expectativas. Além do mais a batata era saborizada com queijo e cebola (o preferido dos irlandeses). 
O resultado foi surpreendente. 
Foi estranho, de alguma forma ficou inexplicavelmente bom. Adorei me aventurar por esta maluca mistura de chocolate e batata saborizada. 
O chocolate da Lir é realmente delicioso e mesmo que você não queira experimentar esta opção com batata não deve deixar de provar as diversos produtos que a marca oferece. 
Já estou de olho nesta caixa com chocolates em formato de cupcakes!

As we are aware, Irish are crazy for potatoes. Of all kinds. But up until now I had never had potatoes with something sweet. And when I saw this egg I felt like the moment had arrived. But I had low expectations. Besides, the potatoes were flavored with cheese and onion (favorite for the Irish).
The result was surprising.
It was strange, somehow it was inexplicably good.
I loved venturing myself through this crazy mixture of chocolate and flavored crisps.
Lir's chocolate is really delicious, and even if you don't want to try this option with crisps you should not miss trying the several products this brand offers.
I already have an eye opened on this box of chocolates shaped as cupcakes.
