DOLLARD & Co
Whoever walks by Wellington Quay at the Temple Bar in Dublin must have noticed something new, this is Dollard & Co.
In this large, remodeled space there is a world of food choices and this is the first such proposal in Ireland. Already in the entrance we see the pizza makers preparing pizzas and pasta.
As we walk through the great hall, we are discovering what Dollar & Co has to offer: charcuterie and cheeses, butchery, ice cream shop, cafeteria, delicatessen, mini market, wine and liquor area, bakery, greengrocers, fishmongers, pizzeria, etc.
And everything is so fresh and with good quality that it's hard not to take something. We found the system a little confusing. It is not clear where to pay, where to queue to buy a particular product, etc. Almost everything you can take home. But if you want to eat there, there is a food court in which you can choose what you prefer and take it to your table. We ordered coffee, a crumble pie and slices of pizza that were delicious and super crunchy.
But you can, for example, choose some of the selected sausages, cheeses and breads and taste them right there. If you are looking for some more elaborate dish, there is a large kitchen set up in the middle of the hall where the chefs prepare the dishes in front of you. There are choices of sandwiches, salads, meats, fish & chips, soups, etc.
Overall we enjoyed the place and we thing about going back one of these days. This disorganization we noticed is completely normal, as Dollar & Co was just opening and these things will be adjusted over the course of days.
