E começamos o ano com tudo aqui no Welcome to Ireland. Como você já deve ter notado estamos com layout totalmente novo. Agora ficou tudo mais dinâmico e moderno. Esperamos que goste e que deixe opiniões nos comentários. Ainda estamos fazendo alguns ajustes e diversas coisas precisam ser arrumadas mas como não somos especialistas no assunto vamos fazendo aos poucos. 
O nosso objetivo é que você tenha uma boa experiência ao ler o nosso blog. E pode esperar muitos posts em 2016. Adoramos falar sobre a Irlanda e queremos fazer textos e fotos cada vez melhores para os nossos leitores. Muito obrigada por estar do outro lado e acompanhar o que postamos. E sinta-se a vontade para entrar em contato com a gente!

And we start the year fully energised here at Welcome to Ireland. As you may have noticed we have a totally new layout. Now everything is more dynamic and modern. We hope you like and leave opinions in the comments. We are still making some adjustments and many things need to be fixed, but once we are not specialists on the matter we will be doing little by little.
Our objective is to bring you a good experience while reading our blog. And you can expect several posts in 2016. We love talking about Ireland and we want to make texts and pictures even better for our readers. Thank you for being at our side and following what we post. And feel free to get in touch with us.

 O tempo no último mês de 2015 foi extremamente hostil. Temporais trouxeram inundações a diversos estados. Em Cork choveu o triplo do que a média para esta época do ano. Muitas estradas interditadas, cortes de energia elétrica e estragos.  Segundo especialistas, este mês foi um dos mais úmidos da história.
Já no começo de dezembro tivemos o fortíssimo temporal Desmond. E alguns videos se viralizaram como estes rapazes que resolveram nadar em Galway em plena tempestade.

 The weather on the last month of 2015 was extremely hostile. Storms brought floods to several counties. In Cork it rained the triple of the average for this time of the year. Many roads were blocked, electric power cuts and damages. According to specialists, this month was one of the most humid in history. 

In the beginning of the month we had the strong Desmond storm. And some videos went viral with these lads who decided to swim in Galway in the middle of the storm.

 Mas quem realmente ficou mundialmente famosa em pouquíssimos dias foi a repórter da RTE  Teresa Mannion que fez um dramático vídeo falando sobre a tempestade Desmond e pedindo precaução às pessoas.

 But the one getting worldwide famous in just a few days was the RTE reporter Teresa Mannion, who made a dramatic video talking about the Desmond storm and asking people to be careful.

 Algumas frases de Teresa foram ironizadas e imediatamente todos estavam falando dela! Inúmeros videos surgiram imitando a repórter e até camisetas foram feitas. Veja está matéria da CNN onde se fala um pouco da repercussão do vídeo.

 Some sentences from Teresa were spoken ironically and immediately everybody was talking about her! Countless videos appeared personificating the reporter, and even T-shirts were made. Check this CNN news report where they mention the video repercussion. 

 Mas tivemos outras tormentas no mês de dezembro como a tempestade Eva e o temporal Frank no fim-do-ano.

 But we also had other storms in December such as the storm Eva and the storm Frank over the end of the year.

 E dezembro foi um mês cheio de eventos festivos de Natal!! Como a Feira Vintage que a gente te mostrou aqui.

 And December was a month full of festive Christmas events, such as the Vintage Fair we showed you here.

 And this other one was a real Charles Dickens's Christmas classic.
