BLOOM FESTIVAL
The Bloom Festival started 11 years ago, and it was an event just for gardening. Over the years it has been growing, today there are 5 days of Bloom and there you will find a lot more than gardening. We went there last year and this year we went back. Even though I do not understand much of gardening.
A large structure is set up at Phoenix Park to host the Festival. More than 100,000 people visit Bloom so be prepared to face many queues. The Garden Show is the heart of the Festival, where some professionals and landscapers set up some gardens for exhibition.
The Nursery & Floral Pavilion is Bloom's main pavilion, there are many exhibitors trading all kinds of plants.
You will find much more than plants! Barbecues of all sizes, garden furniture, etc.
If you prefer you can watch lectures on gardening, see fashion shows.
There are exhibitors of products for the house, clothes, shoes, handbags, crafts and much more.
On this large space a stage is set up for musical performances and picnic tables are made available outdoors. There are many food trucks around. And hammocks for those who prefer to relax a little more.
The Food Market is intended for local food producers. There are a lot of people there! Almost all offer their products for tasting. There is everything: yogurt, sausage, biscuits and more.
There are also many side activities such as lectures on agriculture, sustainability, cooking classes, etc.
And speaking of sustainability, there are separate waste bins for each type of waste for future recycling. The coffee is sold in biodegradable cups.
There are a few restaurant options for those who prefer more comfort when having a meal.
